12/07/2004 – Con 7,5 puntos en nueve rondas, Loek van Wely ganó el Campeonato de Holanda individual masculino. Segundo, a medio punto de distancia, quedó Ivan Sokolov, delante de Sergey Tiviakov (6). El torneo se disputó como una liga entre los 10 participantes y se celebró en Leuwarden, entre el 29 de junio y el 10 de julio, patrocinado por la empresa holandesa de energía Essent. En la competición femenina el triunfo fue para Zhao Qin Peng. Partidas. Clasificación.
