Del 25 al 30 de septiembre, Chess.com organizará el sexto torneo de la serie de torneos cibernético del Champions Chess Tour. Tras un torneo previo, los jugadores clasificados se dividieron en tres divisiones. En el grupo de la División 1, ocho jugadores competirán en un torneo a doble vuelta, por sistema eliminatorio.

Todos los grandes maestros pueden participar en el torneo en la fase de repesca.
Basándose en las respectivas actuaciones en el torneo anterior del CCT, la Copa de la Generación Julius Baer, cuatro jugadores ya se habían clasificado para la fase eliminatoria de la Copa IA. Otros cuatro se clasificaron a través de la fase de repesca.

En la fase por sistema eliminatorio, 56 jugadores compiten en tres divisiones diferentes en función de su rendimiento en los duelos.
División I: ocho jugadores
Participan cuatro jugadores invitados (Carlsen, Firouzja, Lazavik y Nepomniachtchi). Los cuatro ganadores de los enfrentamientos entre los 8 mejores jugadores del suizo de repesca.
División II: 16 jugadores
Los cuatro perdedores de los duelos entre los 8 mejores jugadores de los participantes en el play-in por sistma suizo. Los 12 ganadores de los duelos entre los jugadores clasificados del 9º al 32º en los suizos de los play-in.
División III: 32 jugadores
Los 12 perdedores de los duelos entre los jugadores clasificados en los puestos 9 a 32 del Play-in suizo. Los 20 ganadores de los partidos entre los jugadores en los puestos 33 a 72 del Play-in Swiss.

La fase eliminatoria tiene el siguiente formato:
Habrá una ronda eliminatoria de doble eliminación en cada división. El tiempo de control es de 15 minutos + 3 segundos de bis.
En las divisiones I y II, se disputarán cuatro partidas en el grupo de ganadores y dos partidas en el grupo de perdedores.
En la División III, se disputarán dos partidas tanto en el cuadro de ganadores como en el de perdedores y una partida de cuatro se disputará en la Gran Final.
En caso de una reedición de la Gran Final en la que un jugador del cuadro de perdedores gane el primer set, el segundo set consistirá en un partido a dos partidas. En caso de un empate, se decidirá quien será el ganador mediante una partida a todo o nada (armagedón) con un control de tiempo básico de 15 minutos.
