Judit Polgar se enfrentará con Vishy Anand en un duelo a 8 partidas rápidas y Peter Leko y Peter Svidler medirán sus fuerzas a igual distancia, pero en la modalidad de ajedrez 960 o ajedrez mezclado, es decir, con la posición inicial de las piezas alterada. Leko y Anand acaban de jugar en Dortmund con suertes bien distintas. Svidler retoma su posición entre la elite y acaso Judit pueda verse estimulada por los éxitos de su hermana Susan.
