Las diferentes bases de datos de ChessBase
Mega 2018
Es la base de datos de referencia para cualquier ajedrecista ambicioso. Incluye la historia de ajedrez completa, con más de 7 millones de partidas, desde alrededor del año 1500 hasta mediados de octubre de 2017. La base de datos está editada de manera muy escrupulosa, repleta de análisis magistrales y con las partidas clasificadas por completo. ¡Sírvase de Mega Database 2018 para prepararse a la perfección para las próximas partidas y permita que la madre de las bases de datos se convierta en el padre de su éxito!
Con Mega Database 2018 podrá informarse de manera muy completa de todos los ámbitos del ajedrez. Hay más de 838.000 partidas con indicaciones de los equipos, con lo cual es posible generar clasificaciones también de los torneos por equipos. Además, el DVD incluye la enciclopedia de jugadores actualizada, con más de 520.000 nombres y unas 38.500 fotografías. Para poder utilizar la enciclopedia de jugadores es necesario tener la versión actual del programa ChessBase 14.
Partidas históricas
Seguimos trabajando en la ampliación de las partidas históricas. Durante casi dos años, el experto Gisbert Jacoby, cofundador de ChessBase, ha trabajado en el perfeccionamiento de esa área. Tiene una biblioteca de ajedrez impresionante que le permite acceder directamente a las fuentes originales. Jacoby ha editado unas 180.000 partidas, realizado correcciones, comprobando las fuentes, editando y unificado las denominaciones de los torneos... Se han incluido unas 14.000 partidas históricas nuevas, disputadas entre los años 1500 y 1939. Hay más de 1.000 partidas nuevas con comentarios en parte históricos y en parte actuales. Hay unos 200 nuevos textos de base de datos, con informes sobre torneos, clasificaciones, indicaciones de las fuentes, informaciones adicionales, anécdotas e historias curiosas (por ejemplo: “Sämisch se niega a aceptar la paternidad”)
Incluye actualizaciones por Internet hasta el 31.12.2018: con ChessBase 12 o 13 puede descargar partidas para Mega 2018 durante todo el año. ¡En total serán unas 250,000 partidas! Eso significa que su Mega 2018 estará al día.

Es, por decirlo así, la hermana menor de Mega DataBase. Consta de las mismas partidas, pero sin análisis ni comentarios. Además, tampoco incluye las actualizaciones semanales de nuevas partidas. Quienes no den importancia a las actualizaciones semanales de partidas ni tengan necesidad de análisis magistrales, tienen una alternativa muy buena y mucho más económica en Big Database.
