Congreso de Ajedrez de Cork 2010

29/03/2010 – Irlanda es un bonito país con muchas virtudes y bellezas naturales. El ajedrez, sin embargo, es una cosa más bien rara allí. No hay jugadores especialmente fuertes ni muchos torneos. Como anteriormente lo hicieran los monjes irlandes, hoy es Alexander Barburin el que hace de misionero del ajedrez en Irlanda. Pero de vez en cuando también hay otros grandes maestros que acuden a la isla verde para enriquecer la vida ajedrecística de ese rincón del mundo. Dejan Bojkov ha visitado el Cork Annual Chess Congress (congreso anual de ajedrez de Cork) y ha realizado algunas excursiones a lugares cercanos, por ejemplo el viejo puerto de Coph, antes llamado "Queenstown" en honor a la Reina Victoria, que fue también el último puerto donde en su momento atracó el Titanic ("Ni el mismísimo Dios podría hundir este barco") Impresiones y selección de partidas...
