Hubo dos victorias: una a cargo de Ian Nepomniachtchi frente a Levon Aronian con algo de suerte y otra por parte de Sergey Karjakin que conquistó una brillante victoria frente a Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Ahora hay cinco líderes: Vishy Anand, Fabiano Caruana, Ding Liren, Sergey Karjakin e Ian Nepomnachtchi con 4,5/8 puntos.
