Ian Nepomiachtchi se aprovechó de su peón de ventaja tras una larga lucha durante el final de la partida. Por ahora, Vishy Anand, Fabiano Caruana y Ding Liren comparten el mando con 3/5 puntos. Magnus Carlsen tiene 2,5 puntos, al igual que Weslez So, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Sergey Karjakin, Ian Nepomniachtchi y Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.
