David Smerdon ganó el Abierto de Bangkok

03/04/2007 – Durante su carrera el GM Ian Rogers (foto) ya se ha enfrentado contra unos cuantos pesos pesados, pero en el Abierto de Bangkok hubo uno que hizo especialmente honor al calificativo. De todas maneras, finalmente ni Rogers ni su oponente ganaron el torneo, organizado por el Club de Ajedrez de Bangkok que se disputó entre el 27 de marzo y el 1 de abril en Phuket, sino que triunfó el australiano David Smerdon, alcanzando 7,5/9 puntos y su segunda norma de gran maestro.
