Los documentos obtenidos por el Philadelphia Inquirer también sugieren que su padre no era el biofísico alemán Hans-Gerhardt Fischer sino Paul Nemenyi, un físico húngaro que trabajó en el desarrollo de la bomba atómica, en el Proyecto Manhattan en la Universidad de Chicago.
