16/04/2002 – Entre el 27 de abril y el 2 de mayo tendrá lugar el Festival de Ajedrez de Rethymo 2002. El 29 de abril a las 17:00 horas (GMT+2) el reciente doctor honoris causa por la Universidad de Moldavia Viktor Kortschnoi y la quizás futura doctora en odontología Maria Kouvatsou, campeona del mundo junior en 1999, se enfrentarán en dos partidas rápidas (20' más 10'' por jugada) También habrá partidas simultáneas y a la ciega.
