Dinara Wagner demostró estar bien preparada en la apertura de su partida del jueves en el Trofeo de Ajedrez de las Cajas de Ahorrosde Dortmund, contra Elisabeth Pähtz. Demostró conocimientos profundos de la apertura Tarrasch e igualó la contienda desde el principio.
Elisabeth Pähtz se quedó con un peón aislado y dijo después que tenía que tener cuidado para no entrar en apuros. Pero no dejó que nada fallara y la partida terminó en tablas. Así pues, la lucha por el número 1 alemán sigue en el filo de la navaja. Las dos rondas finales se jugarán el sábado y el domingo, con el marcador actual en 2-2.

En el Abierto A, Frederik Svane volvió a la lucha por el primer puesto. Tras un largo periodo de estancamiento, se abrió paso y se impuso al GM Luis Ernesto Quesada Pérez, que había tenido una actuación muy destacada hasta el momento.
"Ya quería ofrecer tablas"
Eso fue lo que dijo Frederik Svane tras la partida. Pero entonces su rival cometió un error táctico y Svane aprovechó la oportunidad inmediatamente y ganó el final después de todo.
Como no había ganador en el tablero superior entre el GM Anton Korobov y el GM David Gavrilescu, Svane pudo reducir la diferencia a 5 de 6. El joven gran maestro Christopher Wojin Yoo, de Estados Unidos, también lo consiguió. Castigó sin concesiones el tratamiento de la apertura de Klaudia Kulon.

En el Abierto A el control del tiempo es de 90 minutos para 40 movimientos más 30 minutos hasta el final de la partida e incrementos de 30 segundos desde el movimiento 1.
El Abierto B es un torneo suizo a 7 rondas con 191 participantes. El control del tiempo es de 90 minutos para la partida, con incrementos de 10 segundos desde la primera jugada.
El encuentro entre Paehtz y Wagner consta de 6 partidas con un control de tiempo clásico.
