Necati Korkmaz es un micro escultur turco. Ha creado el juego de ajerez quizá más pequeñito del mundo. El tablero mide 9 x 9 milímetros.
Aún no ha sido confirmado como récord mundial oficialmente. El Record Guinness oficial actual aún lo tiene el juego de ajerez creado por Ara Ghazaryan en 2017.
¿Este "fue" el juego más pequeño?
Las reglas del Record Guinnes dicen:
...that a set has to be exactly to scale and perform the original function as the everyday original.
Está claro que con los dedos gordos, será difícil desplazar unas piezas con exactitud en un tablero tan pequeñito. Pero con una mano tranquilo que no tiembla igual será posible batir el record actual...
El tablero
El tamaño del tablero se podría comparar con el de un arándano. Las piezas miden entre 1,5 y 3 milímtros, es decir, son más chiquitines que una lenteja.

Dicho en otras palabras: se trata de un juego de ajedrez absurdamente pequeñito. Las piezas son ligeramente imantados porque si no lo fueran, se caerían del tablero en seguida (al exhalar, se supone).

El creador del juego, Necati Korkmaz, comentó a la agencia de noticas turca Anadolu Agency que había trabajado en el proyecto durante seis horas diaras durante seis meses.
De vez en cuando estaba muy cansado. Pero es un gran placer poder contemplar el resultado final, una pequeña obra de arte. He preparado un juego de ajedrez casi microscópico.
