23/11/2001 – Alexander Yermolinsky fue el ganador del Campeonato Continental Americano y como tal fue invitado por la revista holandesa New in Chess a responder a su encuesta de la sección "Just Checking" en su última edición (7/2001) Una era quién fue el mayor talento ajedrecístico de todos los tiempos. La respuesta de Yermo: "Una pregunta difícil. Tengo la opinión dividida entre Fritz, Crafty y Deep Junior."
