Un torneo que ha tenido muy buena acogida

El ex campeón del mundo sub-18, Dmitry Kokarev encabezó la clasificación durante mucho tiempo y hasta podría haberse coronado campeón, si no hubiese dejado escapar la victoria contra el segundo favorito, Alexander Areshchenko en la séptima ronda.

Ganador se coronó el principal favorito según su Elo: Pavel Eljanov.
