En el torneo masculino, los israelíes, primeros en el ranking tras el abandono de Rusia, perdieron 3:1 con los checos (¡Vaya, parece que les sentó bien el entrenamiento con Kasparov!) España perdió por idéntico resultado frente a Azerbaiján. Alemania ganó 4:0 a Italia. En la competición femenina, Alemania empató con Croacia, España perdió 1'5:0'5 con Ucrania...
