15/11/2001 – Excelente resultado de Francia: plata en la competición masculina y oro en la femenina. En los hombres Holanda se llevó el oro y Alemania el bronce. Lautier fue el mejor jugador, con 7'5/9. Vallejo quedó entre los 6 mejores, con 6'5/9. En féminas Moldavia, plata e Inglaterra, bronce. El mejor resultado fue para la francesa Marie Sebag con 7/8.
