Falleció Bobby Fischer

18/01/2008 – La leyenda del ajedrez Bobby Fischer ha fallecido ayer en un hospital de Reykjavik, según informó su portavoz Gardar Sverrisson. Fischer fue campeón del mundo de ajedrez entre 1972 y 1975 y alcanzó fama mundial en 1972 cuando, en medio de la Guerra Fría, fue el primer norteamericano en ganar el título mundial a un ruso. Posteriormente, al participar en una exhibición en Yugoslavia en 1992, por entonces sometida a embargo por EE. UU., Fischer fue considerado un traidor e incluído en la lista de fugitivos del FBI. Fischer estaba afincado en Islandia desde el año 2005. Había cumplido 64 años, tantos como casillas tiene el tablero de ajedrez. Necrológica por Leontxo García en "El País"...
