01/06/2023 – Del 1 al 6 de junio de 2023, como parte del Festival de Ajedrez de Maharashtra, se celebrarán en Nagpur (India) dos encuentros entre jugadores de talla mundial. El primero es el duelo amistoso entre el número tres de India, Vidit Gujrathi y el ocho veces Campeón de Rusia, Peter Svidler. El segundo duelo enfrentará al joven mejor clasificado del país, Raunak Sadhwani, con el retador al campeón del mundo, GM Nigel Short. Los duelos amistosos se disputarán a cuatro partidas de ajedrez clásico y a continuación habrá cuatro rápidas, seguidas por ocho partidas en la modalidad de ajedrez relámpago.
El sistema de puntuación será de tres puntos por una victoria en las partidas clásicas, doso puntos por victoria en las partidas de ajedrez rápido y un punto en las partidas de ajedrez relámpago.
Ritmo de juego
Ajedrez clásico = 90 minutos, más 30 minutos (después de la jugada 40), más 30 segundos de incremento por movimiento
Ajedrez rápido = 15 minutos, más 10 segundos de incremento
Ajedrez relámpago: 3 minutos, más 2 segundos de incremento
