Festival de Juegos en Cannes 2011

02/03/2011 – En la última semana de febrero se llevó a cabo el "Festival International des Jeux" (Festival Internacional de Juegos) en Cannes (Francia), donde se suelen presentar diversos tipos de juegos en competiciones. El ajedrez estuvo representado por tres torneos abiertos y el "Duelo de las Leyendas" (Korchnoi vs. Vaisser) En el grupo A del torneo abierto participaron 64 jugadores. Se coronó vencedor el GM Joseph Sánchez con 7 puntos. Los favoritos según el escalafón Elo Christian Bauer y Michael Roiz tuvieron que contentarse con el cuarto y segundo lugar, respectivamente. En el "Duelo de las Leyendas" a ocho partidas (dos de ritmo clásico, dos de ajedrez rápido y dos relámpago) el marcador final quedó 4:4. El duelo se celebró en honor de Korchnoi, que cumplirá 80 años el próximo 23 de marzo. Los días 19 y 26 de marzo, además habrá unas simultáneas con cena de gala en Zurich. Fotos, partidas y vídeo...
