22/11/2024 – Los días 21 y 22 de noviembre, Magnus Carlsen y Fabiano Caruana, el número 1 y el número 2 del mundo, se enfrentan en el "Freestyle Chess Summit" en Singapur. Justo antes del comienzo del encuentro por el Campeonato del Mundo entre Gukesh D y Ding Liren, Carlsen y Caruana jugarán dos partidas freestyle (ajedrez 960) con un control de tiempo de 60 minutos para toda la partida y 30 segundos de incremento por jugada. El "Freestyle Chess Summit" se estrena en Singapur los días 21 y 22 de noviembre de 2024 con un emocionante duelo entre los gigantes del ajedrez Magnus Carlsen y Fabiano Caruana. Estos dos jugadores excepcionales han mantenido al mundo del ajedrez en vilo con encuentros legendarios, y su rivalidad promete darnos grandes emociones una vez más.
Formato: Encuentro a 2 partidas con la variante Freestyle de ajedrez (también conocida como ajedrez 960)
Control de tiempo: 60 minutos para toda la partida, más incrementos de 30 segundos por jugada desde el inicio del encuentro
Desempate: En caso de empate, se jugarán dos partidas de desempate con un control de tiempo de 15+10; si persiste el empate, el match se decidirá mediante una partida Armagedón por subasta, con 5 minutos como tiempo base (el jugador que ofrezca menos tiempo obtiene las piezas negras y las tablas le favorecen)
