03/07/2004 – Del 4 al 8 de agosto, tres días después del Chess Meeting de Dortmund, la ciudad alemana de Maguncia (Mainz) albergará una nueva edición de su Chess Classic, que incluirá un encuentro a partidas rápidas entre el número 2 del mundo Vishy Anand y el número 10, Alexei Shirov, y un encuentro de "Ajedrez 960" entre Peter Svidler y Levon Aronian.
