13/01/2022 – A finales del año habíamos organizado un concurso bajo el lema "mi partida brillante" dentro del marco del lanzamiento de nuestro programa de ajedrez Fritz 18. Fritz 18, en el modo de la "partida tranquila", permite jugar partidas brillantes de la mano de Fritz. Pero el concurso no se limitaba a eso: los participantes también nos mandaron partidas brillantes que habían jugado, por ejemplo, hace 30 años. Algunos incluso nos mandaron fotografías y documentos originales. También recibimos partidas de ajedrez relámpago muy originales pero, también muchísimas partidas jugadas con Fritz 18, por supuesto. Ahora ya conocemos a los ganadores del concurso. El primer premio, una clase magistral particular con GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov fue ganado por Dominique C.

Tras tan solo 14 movimientos, el tablero ha prendido fuego tras un brillante sacrificio de dama. Fritz 18 se muestra visiblemente impresionado por la continuación y opina:
¡Vaya movimiento más caliente! (Hot move!)
En el final de la partida, Dominique estaba luchando con dos torres, dos alfiles y cinco peones contra dama, torre, caballo y cuatro peones de Fritz 18. Finalmente, Fritz 18 se rindió.

Thomas F. ganó su partida brillante en 1996 contra un oponente que tenía casi 400 puntos Elo más que él. Se apuntó el triunfo tras tan solo 21 movimientos.
Thomas optó por la Variante Portuguesa de la Escandinavia. Tras un precioso sacrificio de alfil, las blancas se rindieron ocho movimientos más adelante porque otra combinación con sacrificio de torre simplemente habría sido demasiado.

La partida brillante de Catharinus se disputó en Holanda en 2020.
La apertura está caliente, caliente. Catharinus había estudiado la apertura al día anterior con la ayuda de la Mega Database de ChessBase con mucha profunidad hasta el movimiento 10. Funciona bien y las blancas obtienen un agresivo ataque.
El movimiento número 19, Tb5, cumple varias tareas a la vez. Una de ellas es quitarle casillas a la dama del bando enemigo. Y funcionó bien. Un movimiento más adelan te desapareció. Poco tiempo más tarde las negras se rindieron.

En el movimiento número 25, el CM ucranio se gasta un montón de tiempo para encontrar el desarrollo correcto para obtener un final de torres, pero con tres peones de ventaja.
Si no hubiese recibido las pistas sutiles de Fritz 18, no habría logrado dicha hazaña. Pero de la mano de Fritz 18 ha podido jugar una partida brillante:
