Grand Chess Tour en San Luis: primera jornada de ajedrez relámpago
Los días 13 y 14 de agosto (a partir de las 20:00 CEST), diez jugadores se enfrentarán en la sección de ajedrez relámpago que consta de 18 rondas.

Ding Liren y Sergey Karjakin fueron los mejores jugadores en las primeras nueve partidas de la manga de ajedrez relápago. A lo largo de la primera jornada (de dos), ayer se apuntaron 6,5/9 puntos ambos, respectivamente. Yu Yangyi va con 5,5/9 puntos en las partidas de ajedrez relámpago.
Levon Aronian y Maxime Vachier-Lagrave habían sido los ganadores de la manga de rápídas. Tras la primera jornada de ajedrez relámpago ahora es Maxime Vachier-Lagrave el que se ha colocado en la cima de la clasificación combinada de rápidas y ajedrez relámpago. Las victorias de las partidas rápidas cuentan doble en comparación con las del torneo de ajedrez relámpago. Por lo tanto, en la clasificación combinada Maxime Vachier-Lagrave actualmente tiene 17,5 puntos y Levon Aronian 17.
¿Y Magnus Carlsen? El Campeón del Mundo parece que aún no ha entrado en calor por completo. Ayer sumó cuatro puntos, o sea que un resultado promedio. Pero eso no es lo que suele aspirar Carlsen normalmente. Tras el primer día de ajedrez relámpago Carlsen se encuentra en el séptimo puesto.
Esta tarde se disputará la segunda y última jornada de la manga de ajedrez relámpago con las partidas 10 - 18.
Mañana será día de descanso y a continuación se disputará el Grand Chess Tour "Copa Sinquefield" (de partidas clásicas) en el mismo lugar y con los mismos jugadores.
