30/11/2019 – Hoy por la tarde se llevará a cabo un acto especial en Montecarlo, la entrega de los premios "Golden Pawn" (Peón de Oro). Se galardonará a diversas personas europeas que han marcado un hito especial en su respectivo ámbito especial del ajedrez. Para la ECU ha sido imporante celebrar la ceremonia de entrega de dichos premios en Montecarlo dado que es un lugar tan emblemático para el ajedrez y dará el marco perfecto a ese acto.
Como el ajedrez es un juego "Real", la medalla de honor del ajedrez se le entregará al Príncipe Alberto II de Mónaco.
