Grand Prix Femenino 2024
Del 14 al 25 de agosto, en Tiflis (Georgia)
Las series del WGP 2024/25 introducen varios cambios clave, como el aumento del número de participantes de 16 a 20, la ampliación de cuatro a seis torneos y un mayor fondo de premios de 120.000 euros. Cada jugador competirá en tres de los seis torneos y ganará puntos en función de su clasificación en cada uno de ellos. Las dos mejores jugadoras de la serie se asegurarán una plaza en el Torneo de Candidatas Femenino de la FIDE de 2026.

El torneo de Tiflis
El torneo de Tiflis se celebrará en el Hotel Biltmore Tiflis, el primer rascacielos de cristal de Georgia y el hotel más alto de la región del Cáucaso. Este evento inaugural cuenta con una sólida alineación, que incluye a dos ex campeonas del mundo femeninas -Alexandra Kosteniuk, ganadora de la etapa de Múnich en la serie 2022/23, y Mariya Muzychuk- junto a algunas de las jugadoras más prometedoras del mundo del ajedrez actual.
Primera ronda y control horario
La primera ronda comienza el jueves a las 15:00, hora local, en Tiflis. El control del tiempo será de 90 minutos por los primeros 40 movimientos, seguidos de 30 minutos por el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos por movimiento a partir de la primera jugada.
