FIDE Grand Prix World Chess en Hamburgo 2019
El Grand Prix de Hamburgo se disputa por sistema eliminatorio entre 16 jugadores. El vencedor de cada duelo avanza a la siguiente ronda eliminatoria cayendo eliminado el perdedor.
Cada encuentro consiste en dos partidas con el control clásico FIDE de 90 minutos por 40 movimientos, más 30 minutos para el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos por movimiento. Si el marcador se mantiene igualado se irá al desempate que queda establecido de la siguiente manera siendo:
•2 partidas de 25 minutos + 10 segundos de incremento desde la jugada 1
•2 partidas de 10 minutos + 10 segundos de incremento desde la jugada 1
•2 partidas de 5 minutos + 3 segundos de incremento desde la jugada 1
•Armagedón: Blancas, 5 minutos + 2 segundos de incremento desde la jugada 61; Negras, 4 minutos + 2 segundos de incremento desde la jugada 61. Las negras pasan a la siguiente ronda en caso de empate
La bolsa de premios de cada torneo del Grand Prix de la Fide – Riga, Moscú, Hamburgo y Jerusalén- es de 130.000 euros + 280.000 euros para la clasificación general de la serie. En total la bolsa del Grand Prix de la Fide asciende a 800.000 euros.
Los dos primeros jugadores de la clasificación general, que combina los resultados en de los cuatro torneos, se clasificarán para el Torneo de Candidatos que se disputará en marzo de 2020.
