El video n.º 130 del canal «Historias de Ajedrez» está dedicado al GM Diego Flores, campeón argentino 2025. En esta nueva entrega, el gran maestro juninense comparte algunas de las partidas que marcaron su camino hacia un nuevo título nacional, alcanzado en una edición especial del campeonato, la del centenario.
Flores consiguió en Buenos Aires su octavo Campeonato Argentino, tras haber ganado también las ediciones de 2005, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018 y 2019. Con esta nueva conquista, igualó el récord histórico de Miguel Najdorf como máximo ganador del certamen. Su resultado final, 8½ puntos en 11 rondas (sin derrotas), confirmó su sitial como uno de los ajedrecistas argentinos más fuertes de la historia en un torneo cerrado de alto nivel.
En la nota, Flores analiza tres partidas que considera importantes dentro de su recorrido hacia el título de 2025: las tablas con negras frente al MI Mario Villanueva, su victoria con blancas ante el MI Julián Villca y el triunfo con negras frente al MI Faustino Oro (ahora gran maestro). Esta última partida fue una de las más esperadas del torneo, tanto por la relevancia del ascenso meteórico del joven maestro argentino —el «Messi del ajedrez»— como por el peso que tuvo en la lucha por los primeros puestos.
La propuesta del video combina el repaso deportivo de un campeonato histórico con el análisis directo de su protagonista. Flores explica decisiones críticas, momentos prácticos y recursos que le permitieron mantenerse invicto hasta el final.
