02/05/2023 – Como ya informamos en su día, el 22 de abril de 2023 se celebró el homenaje a José Luis Larrañaga Aldalur por la consecución del récord mundial de más partidas simultaneas de ajedrez, que le valió para entrar en el Libro de los Récords Guinness de 1983. Para esta ocasión, el Club en el que emprendió sus pasos, Anaitasuna-Kakute Xake Taldea de Azkoitia (Gipuzkoa), le preparó un bonito homenaje. Con música de impacto, fue su hermano, José Joaquín Larrañaga, quien le abría la puerta del recinto con un fuerte abrazo. En una primera línea del recibimiento, su sobrino (Imanol Larrañaga) le hacía entrega del polo del Club y varias socias del mismo (Judith Goenaga, Lucía Valor y Usoa Jurado) entregaban a su mujer e hijas, una flor con los colores del Club (rojo y azul). Pasada esta línea, fue recibido por el Presidente y el Secretario del Club (José Luis Fernández y Aníbal Fernández) y por el Alcalde de Azkoitia (Javier Zubizarreta) así como por La Presidenta de Cultura y Deportes (Sonia Vàzquez) y el Concejal de Deportes (Ángel Martín). Tras ellos, El Presidente de la Federación Gipuzkoana de Ajedrez FGA de 1982 y su mujer (Juan Bautista Aranzabe y Maite Sánchez) así como el actual Presidente FGA (César Montolio).
Pasada esta última línea, José Luis se topó con el libro del récord mundial con “su récord” señalado e iluminado por una luz. Un libro que sólo vio una vez y después se lo llevaron. De ahí subió al escenario, donde el Presidente del Club agradeció a Azkoitiko Udala (Ayuntamiento de Azkoitia) su imprescindible colaboración, tanto ahora como en 1982, para que todo esto fuera posible. Presentó a los miembros de Azkoitiko Udala a los asistentes y agradeció la colaboración del MI Enrique Tejedor Fuente.

Se recordó y aplaudió a Tomás Conde, recientemente fallecido y la ausencia por causa mayor del Árbitro Internacional, Mikel Almansa y se presentó a su sustituto, Juanjo Villena. Se comentaron los objetivos del acto y se dio paso al “Gambito de Larra”.
José Luis Larrañaga repasó el fundamento y la creación del evento, el entrenamiento, las horas difíciles de las que se repuso comiendo pollo, de los 32 toques de campana, tanto al comienzo como al final de los descansos… 64 toques, las casillas de un tablero de ajedrez. Con un ritmo pausado, sus alusiones a la serie Gambito de Dama, los 25 tableros que veía en su cabeza en los descansos, consiguió meterse al público en el bolsillo, que disfrutó de la charla.

El Club Anaitasuna-Kakute realizó una revista con los recortes de aquella época y de la vida de José Luis (escribió en Diario Vasco sobre los Matches de Karpov y Kasparov y otros eventos). Javier Zubizarreta (Alcalde de Azkoitia) le entregó un recuerdo del Ayuntamiento y el Secretario del Club le hizo entrega de un trofeo único en el mundo, elaborado por Kopas para la ocasión. Aníbal Fernández y Judith Goenaga destaparon un cuadro que unía el record de 1982 y José Luis Larrañaga en la actualidad, elaborado por Gorka Larrañaga. Antes de comenzar las simultáneas, un emocionado Juan Bautista Aranzabe (Presidente FGA 1982) le entregaba una placa y le dedicaba unos versos realizados para la ocasión. Trofeo azkoitiko Udala (Javier Zubizarreta) Trofeo: Kopas Cuadro: Gorka Larrañaga “Iranixe” Juan Bta. Aranzabe. Presidente FGA 1982 Y llegó el momento que los ajedrecistas esperaban: las simultáneas. Momentos antes se conocían Enrique Tejedor y José Luis Larrañaga y este último hacía el saque inaugural, pasando tablero por tablero a saludar a todos los participantes. El MI Tejedor empezó con tranquilidad y poco a poco algunas partidas se le complicaron para al final ceder sólo dos tablas: Jurgi Díaz (Hondarribia-Marlaxka) y Unai Albenis (Gros Xake Taldea).

Para finalizar, todos compartieron mesa en un bonito acto de “Hermandad” en el que siempre surgen nuevas y esperanzadoras actividades para nuestro deporte.
