28/12/2007 – Entre el 4 y el 7 de enero de 2007, para comenzar el Año Nuevo, la Organización de Jugadores Profesionales de Ajedrez (ACP) organiza la segunda Copa del Mundo de Ajedrez Rápido de la ACP con el apoyo del Banco Pivdenny, en Odessa (Ucrania) Los 16 participantes son: Dmitry Jakovenko, Vassily Ivanchuk, Peter Leko, Teimour Radjabov, Evgeny Najer, Sergey Karjakin, Peter Svidler, Alexander Shabalov, Pavel Eljanov, Ernesto Inarkiev, Boris Savchenko, Alexei Shirov, Boris Gelfand, Anatoly Karpov, Judit Polgar y Yuri Drozdovskij.
