El ícono del ajedrez Viswanathan Anand recibe una bienvenida de héroe

Chennai: El gran maestro de ajedrez y Campeón del Mundo, Viswanathan Anand, ha sido recibido en el aeropuerto internacional de Chennai tras su victoria en el Campeonato del Mundo en Bonn. Fue una bienvenida de héroe a altas horas de la noche del viernes, 21 de noviembre.
Fue el regreso de una estrella de deporte tras haber conquistado el mundo y, para variar, esta vez no se trataba de un jugador de cricket que puso loco a la gente en el aeropuerto internacional. El gran maestro Viswanathan Anand está de vuelta de Bonn y ha traído a casa el título del actual Campeón del Mundo de Ajedrez. "Es una sensación maravillosa estar de vuelta. La recepción ha sido absolutamente fantástica", comentó "Vishy", tal y como le suelen llamar en todo el mundo.
La emoción fue desbordante y los seguidores de Anand, apasionados del ajedrez de todas las edades no se cansaban de celebrar a su estrella. Para la esposa de Vishy, Aruna, fue otro momento más para estar orgullosa de su marido. "La recepción ha sido divina y ahora esperamos que nos mimen. Estoy segura de que no tardarán en mimarnos", dijo Aruna, la esposa de Anand.
Anand vio a cientos de niños con pancartas y una banda de música que estaba tocando música sin cesar, una bienvenida típica para el sur de India y miles de seguidores gritando su nombre. Fue una bienvenida que Anand, sin duda, recordará durante mucho tiempo.
