India: inhabilitado 10 años por hacer trampas

28/12/2006 – Umakant Sharma es un jugador indio de ajedrez que se mantuvo en un nivel Elo de 1900 durante muchos años. Después de una serie de éxitos espectaculares en varios torneos, en breve tiempo alcanzó 2484. Finalmente se descubrió que usaba un dispositivo bluetooth cosido en su gorro para recibir ayuda externa de un ordenador. La Federación India de ajedrez, en reunión celebrada el 26 de diciembre, le ha prohibido participar durante 10 años en competiciones oficiales. Más información en ChessBase.com (en inglés)
