15/04/2003 – En Werther, Westfalia, entre el 11 y el 13 de abril se ha celebrado el IX Schloss Open. En realidad se trataba de 3 torneos segregados por rango de Elo. Efectivamente Kasparov quedó en tercer lugar. Pero no se trataba del Ogro de Bakú sino del bieloruso Sergey. Valdimir Epishin ocupó la segunda plaza y Rainer Polzin fue el vencedor de este torneo a 5 rondas, en el que participaron 223 jugadores de 14 países. A la página web oficial.
