07/09/2003 – Vladimir Kramnik, desilusionado por el fracaso de la FIDE a la hora de velar por los intereses de los profesionales de alto nivel, ahora estimula a sus colegas para la creación de una nueva asociación de ajedrecistas profesionales (Association of Chess Professionals - ACP).
