Uno de los equipos de la sexta división ha ganado el Campeonato de Alemania por equipos de ajedrez relámpago. Suena raro, pero la verdad es que ha sido una victoria merecida. El club Emstal/Wolfshagen se coronó campeón el pasado sábado, 21 de mayo destacándose entre el total de 26 equipos. Desde luego, contaba con jugadores muy fuertes como verán:

La estrella del torneo: el que fue campeón del mundo Vladimir Kramnik.
Kramnik se mostró muy afable y simpático. Como todo el mundo cogía café y pastel del bufete gratuito, firmó autógrafos y miraba las partidas de sus compañeros en aquellas rondas en las que no jugaba él mismo. Frente al tablero parecía muy concentrado y profesional, pero ni rastro de arrogancia, sino todo lo contrario. Su resultado también es digno de mencionar: 15,5/17 puntos. Desde luego fue el pilar más importante del éxito de su equipo.

Marco BaldaufMarco Baldauf, nacido en 1990, juega al ajedrez desde los 8 años. En 2000 y 2002 fue campeón juvenil de Alemania, en 2014 se convirtió en Maestro Internacional. Juega para el SF Berlin en la Bundesliga.
