Boris Gelfand está saliendo en la televisión muy a menudo, fue invitado por el primer ministro, está concediendo inumerables entrevistas e incluso han hecho una parodía suya en el programa satírico más popular de Israel. Lo que aún es más importante es que el ajedrez cada vez se va incorporando más en los horarios escolares y de las guarderías infantiles. Sigue el espectáculo

Tras su impresionante intento de arrebatarle el título al Campeón del Mundo
de Ajedrez Vishy Anand, que terminó en empate en las partidas de ajedrez clásico, Boris Gelfand se ha convertido en un héroe nacional en Israel. Es más, ahora es una superestrella y está saliendo en muchos programas de televisión, en los periódicos, tiene invitaciones
del primer ministro, etc.
El otro día todavía se hizo más famoso cuando lo imitaron en uno de los programas
satíricos más populares de Israel, llamado "Eretz Nehederet".

En el programa de televisión "Bailando con..." (que en Israel se
llama "Dancing in with the Stars), el ajedrez fue uno de los temas principales.
El Canal 10 de la televisión israelí emitió un bonito reportaje
titulado "Ajedrez en los colegios":
Gelfandomania en Israel: "Cada vez más colegios y guarderías infantiles incluyen el ajedrez en sus horarios".

Adi Tzimmerman, la campeona israelí sub-12 y "producto" del programa de "Ajedrez en los Colegios" de Savyon, se enfrenta con un periodista, y lo derrota en tan solo 3 minutos. Además se verá el aula
de informática con muchos ordenadores donde los niños estudian ajedrez, resuelven problemas, juegan, trabajan con sus libros y el GM Boris Alterman explica el papel importante que el ajedrez tiene en el sistema educativo.
Hay muchos inmigrantes rusos que todavía buscan oponentes para jugar
al ajedrez en el parque y siguen lo que está haciendo Gelfand muy de cerca.
Al final del vídeo vemos un colegio de Tel-Aviv Jaffa, donde la mayoría de los niños son árabes israelíes que también están estudiando ajedrez. Uno de los niños impresionó mucho a los periodistas porque cuando le preguntaron: "¿Es
