12/07/2010 – Según informa The New York Times, diversas federaciones nacionales (EE. UU., Francia, Alemania, Suiza y Ucrania) y la candidatura de Anatoly Karpov han presentado una demanda contra la FIDE el jueves pasado ante la Corte de Arbitraje Deportivo con sede en Lausana (Suiza) Plantea la descalificación de la candidatura de Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, por no haber sido designado legítimamente por Rusia, Argentina y México. También cuestiona la designación de Beatriz Marinello. De ser aceptada la reclamación sobre ésta, toda la candidatura de Ilyumzhinov podría ser invalidada, ya que es obligatorio que cada opción cuente al menos con una mujer entre sus miembros.
