27/07/2001 – Según el valor que se introduzca, Shredder será más o menos permisivo a la hora de descartar jugadas para concentrar sus análisis y poder darles mayor profundidad en un tiempo determinado. A mayor valor se obtendrá más exhaustividad, pero se sacrifica la profundidad de análisis. Un valor de –1 implica prescindir del algoritmo de selectividad y tomar decisiones con criterios posicionales. Es especialmente conveniente mantener el algoritmo de zugzwang si se emplea algún criterio de selectividad.
