En la vida real (si es que existe), "Lady Gaga" se llama Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta y es hija de inmigrantes italianos, al igual que Madonna. Acudió a un colegio católico y a continuación estudió música. Stefani Germanotta comenzó a componer sus propias piezas ya a tremprana edad y por el hecho de que sus canciones a veces se parecen un poco a las del grupo "Queen" a un amigo suyo se le ocurrió llamarla "Lady Gaga", haciendo alusión a la canción de "Queen", "Radio Gaga".
