Pero en combinación del resultado excelente que había obtenido en la manga de partidas rápidas, se alzó con la victoria final del Torneo Superbet del Grand Chess Tour Rapid & Blitz en Bucarest. Había quedado empatado por puntos con Sergey Karjkanin, pero ganó el duelo de desemapte.
