17/09/2016 – El ajedrez está al alza en EE.UU., simbolizado por la medalla de oro ganada por la selección absoluta en la 42ª Olimpiada de ajedrez en Bakú. Además, no hay escasez de talentos. Jeffery Xiong, recientemente proclamado campeón mundial juvenil, es el jugador con puntuación más alta del mundo entre los nacidos en 2000 o posteriormente. Li Ruifeng es el que tiene más Elo si ponemos la referencia en 2001 y acaba de ganar el abierto norteamericano sub-20 tras una dramática última ronda (en inglés)...
