15/08/2012 –  La Defensa Grünfeld Defence fue inventada por el famoso gran maestro austriaco Ernst Grünfeld al comienzo de los años veinte del siglo pasado. Una de las primeras reacciones procedió del gran Akiba Rubinstein: el sistema con g3, fianchetando el alfil en g2. Después se pusieron en práctica muchos otros sistemas para refutar la Grünfeld y ninguno funcionó realmente, así que la receta de Rubinstein sigue siendo un enfoque posicional muy importante contra esta dinámica apertura.
