LXIV Superfinal del Campeonato de Rusia 2011

La Superfinal del Campeonato de Rusia 2011 es algo especial: se trata de la edición LXIV, tantos años como casillas en el tablero. Lamentablemente, en lugar de tener un mega acontecimiento, el torneo ha sido reducido a una competición del liga de tan solo 7 rondas (antes solían ser 11 rondas, con 12 jugadores) y ahora solamente hay ocho superfinalistas. En todo caso, eso no
restará impacto e importancia a dicho torneo, porque el grupo de participantes es fantástico: Kramnik, Karjakin, Grischuk, Morozevich, Svidler, Nepomniachtchi, y Galkin, que tienen un
Elo medio de 2715 puntos. Una vez más, la Federación Rusa está organizando el campeonato al más alto nivel posible, con
retransmisiones con vídeo en alta calidad y, por supuesto, con comentarios de las partidas a cargo de grandes maestros. El comentarista de las
4 primeras rondas será el GM Sergey Makarichev, mientras que las rondas 5 a 7 serán comentadas por el famoso entrenador Mark Dvoretsky.

El sorteo de los emparejamientos no fue tan simple como sacar un boleto de un sombrero. Antes de recibir su número, los jugadores tenían que identificar la posición de una partida suya que se les enseñaba en la pantalla y explicar qué novedad habían jugado en la respectiva partida.
