El primero fue el legendario Souza Mendes, primer Campeón de Brasil jamás y probablemente el primer verdadero maestro de su nación. Más adelante llegó Sunye Neto, el segundo gran maestro de Brasil después del gran Mecking, seguido por Giovanni Vescovi y su rival Rafael Leitão, quien se apuntó al club gran magistral el año pasado.
