22/06/2020 – El "Chessable Masters by chess24" se disputa entre el 20 de junio y el 5 de julio. Se trata del tercer torneo de la serie del "Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour". En esta ocasión participarán 12 jugadores de la elite mundial, incluyendo al propio Magnus Carlsen. Actualmente se está disputando la fase preliminatoria. El sábado se disputaron las rondas 1 - 5 y hoy se disputarán las rondas 6 - 10. Chessable Masters: preliminatorias

El Campeón del Mundo de Ajedrez y 11 jugadores más están compitiendo en el tercer torneo del Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour 2020, el Chessable Masters by chess24. La bolsa de premios es de un millón de dólares.
Actualmente se está disputando la primera fase preliminatoria. El torneo se disputará con 12 jugadores durante la fase de preliminatoria y el torneo por sistema eliminatorio.
Fase 1: torneo preliminatorio
El torneo de la fase previa se disputará en dos grupos, en función de las valoraciones Elo FIDE de ajedrez rápido de los respectivos participantes. Ambos grupos disputarán un torneo por sistema de liga a doble vuelta, de 10 rondas. Es decir, todos los jugadores es enfrentarán en dos partidas, con colores opuestas. En ambos grupos se disputarán cinco partidas por jornada. La primera jornada se disputó el sábado 20 de junio (rondas 1 - 5). Hoy lunes, 22 de junio se disputarán las partidas de las rondas 6 - 10.
Fase 2: torneo por sistema eliminatorio
Los cuatro mejores clasificados del torneo preliminatorio se clasificarán para la fase eliminatoria. Es decir, el torneo por sistema eliminatorio se disputará con 8 jugadores. La clasificación exacta del torneo preliminatorio determinará con qué color jugará qué jugadores en el torneo eliminatorio. De ser necesario se disputarán partidas "a todo o nada" para desempatar.
El control de tiempo es de 15 minutos por movimiento, con 10 segundos de incremento a partir del primer movimiento.
