La mejor respuesta a esa cuestión se da en el sistema clásico con 9.Cd2, en el que los caballos y alfiles de las blancas cooperan armoniosamente. Muchos grandes jugadores del pasado y del presente han usado y usan este sistema con éxito. Hasta que la partida se vuelve muy concreta, normalmente hacia las jugadas 18 o 20, la compresión posicional es con mucho más útil que la ayuda informática.
