25/12/2001 – En Mérida (Yucatán - México), entre el 14 y el 22 de diciembre, se disputó la decimocuarta edición de este torneo, con un sistema combinado que comenzaba con un suizo a 6 rondas del que salían clasificados 32 contendientes, que se eliminaban por KO a dos partidas.
