13/03/2004 – Desde el pasado día 8 de marzo y hasta el 18, se celebra en Stepanakert, capital del enclave armenio de Nagorno Karabakh en Azebayán el torneo conmemorativo de los 75 años de Tigran Petrosian (1929 - 1984), IX campeón del mundo. Se trata de un torneo cerrado de categoría XIII. Tras cuatro rondas, la cabeza de la clasificación la ocupan Anastasian, Pashikian, Petrosian (¡No es el homenajeado!) y Sveshnikov empatados con 2,5 puntos. Página web del torneo.
