06/11/2006 – Del 6 al 16 de noviembre se disputa un torneo de categoría XX en Moscú, en memoria del campeón del mundo Mihail Tal (1936 - 1992) Los diez participantes son: Svidler, Morozevich, Aronian, Leko, Gelfand, Mamedyarov, Shirov, Grischuk, Ponomariov y Carlsen. Además, los días 18 y 19 habrá un torneo de ajedrez relámpago con 16 jugadores. Parece ser que han confirmado su participación, entre otros, Anand, Polgar, Karpov y Kasimzdhanov.
