29/06/2004 – La primera jornada de los cuartos de final del Campeonato Mundial FIDE ha registrado cuatro victorias de las blancas. Topalov (¿Alguien puede pararlo?), Adams, Domínguez y Kasimdzhanov se adelantan así en el marcador y ponen la jornada de mañana en un todo o nada para los perdedores de hoy: Kharlov, Akopian, Radjabov y Grischuk, respectivamente. Por otra parte el jugador Suizo Vadim Milov ha manifestado en la web de la ACP su intención de querellarse contra la FIDE, ya que aunque había aceptado jugar en Libia, fue excluido del torneo por tener también pasaporte israelí.
