20/05/2009 – Lo identificaba la bondad, su potente energía y un aspecto muy amable: tenía ese don tan singular y especial de motivar a las personas. Parecía guiarse por la divisa de Beethoven: "Hacer todo el bien que se pueda". El ingeniero Alfonso Ferriz Carrasquedo, de 87 años, amaba con pasión el ajedrez. Fundó en 1945 el Club México. Desde hace 36 años, con excepción de estos últimos días, a causa de la influenza, la Esnaj (Escuela Nacional de Ajedrez) nunca cerró. La vida de Alfonso Ferriz fueron su familia y el ajedrez.
